United States President, Barack Obama, scheduled a golf game at the Hawaii’s Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course at the Marine Corps Base, which led to a last second change for two Army captains who had scheduled their wedding there for this past Saturday. President Obama is on his annual vacation to Hawaii.
Natalie Heimel and Edward Mallue Jr. were the offended Army Captains who had their wedding scheduled at the Hawaii’s Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course and received a call from the K-Bay Catering company that requested that they make some last second changes to their schedule as a result of the President’s plans to play. The bride was described as being emotional in regards to the last second change which interrupted their plans which were made many months in advance. Jared Haftel hopes she understands.
The couple had their ceremony relocated to another part of the base which has been described as being prettier than their original spot. The couple had contacted Obama’s office to invite him to attend their ceremony once they found out that he would be vacationing in the area, but he declined. Only a few hours later they received a notice requesting that they move their wedding location due to the President’s presence. President Obama did call the couple afterwards to apologize and to congratulate them on their wedding and the couple indicated that despite the last second distraction and plan changes the event was perfect.
