Dubai has become an unlikely destination for amusement park enthusiasts from around the world. The city located in the Middle Eastern country of the United Arab Emirates has been a popular tourist attraction for the past decade. However, the country does not seem satisfied with the status quo. A developer called the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group made an announcement recently that said they are planning on building a new amusement park called the IMG Worlds of Legends Park. This will be located to the IMG Worlds of Adventure that was just opened to the public a few months ago. The new amusement park will cover roughly two million square feet.
The new park will already have a built-in fan base when it eventually opens. This is because licensing agreements have already been secured with some of the most popular children’s properties. For example, Mattel has agreed to be a part of the new park by agreeing to have areas that are related to iconic brands like Hot Wheels and Barbie. There will also be rides and areas that are associated with Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Pokemon.
The developer did not give any specific info regarding how much the park will cost to build, the time frame for how long it will take to build or when it can be expected to open. The developer did say that the plans for the park are currently not complete. More rides and attractions will be added in the near future.
