When somebody starts talking about anti-aging, life-extension and the likes, I usually give them an ear not to look rude and uncultured, but now I am a different person. I had to rethink my former stand on the topic after listening to Mikhail Blagosklonny. Until then, I did not know much about him. I decided to know him better after his talks. I was not surprise with my findings. He is simply an authority in his field.
Here is a man with M.D. in internal medicine and PhD in experimental medicine and cardiology from a notable institution – First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Peterburg. Mikhail Blagosklonny was appointed associate professor of medicine in 2002 at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, before assuming the position of a senior scientist at Ordway Research Institute. By 2009, he was already a professor of oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

One of Blogosklonny’s major research interests is studying the underlying mechanisms of aging and anti-aging drugs. He is also one of the reputable medical experts providing therapies for cancer and researching different ways of protecting normal cells from damage. His TOR hypothesis serves as a pointer of possible aging and cancer. Base on his research findings,he passionately advocates for rapamycin as an effective drug for aging and cancer.
Blagosklonny is also an editor per excellence. The likes of Aging, Cell Cycle and Oncotarget have him as editor-in-chief. He works with Cancer Biology & Therapy as an associate editor while Cell Death & Differentiation engages him as a member of its editorial board.
Longetivity or life-extension is real. Blogosklonny’s works and talks convinced me beyond all doubts.
