Aloha Construction, located in Lake Zurich, Illinois with an office in Bloomington, has received the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Award for Ethics. The award honors those businesses that do it right ethically. Receiving the award means they have demonstrated their business operation works in a most ethical manner. The company recognizes the value of their customers and take due regard to serve the needs of their customers, as well as the community.
The company was recognized for their charitable work, as well as their commitment to the quality of their work. Aloha Construction has maintained a partnership with Omni Youth Services. Aloha sends a child with congenital heart disease and 12 of their friends to a Chicago Bulls basketball game. The company also supports Boy’s and Girl’s clubs of Bloomington, Illinois. Each candidate for the award must pass a rigorous screening process and the winner is selected by a panel of independent judges. To qualify for the award candidates must meet six specific criteria. The criteria includes employing leaders that make a commitment to ethical practices, effective communication of the practice of ethics, unifying leadership, commitment to performance practices of management, commitment to ethical human resources practice and a commitment to the community.
Aloha Construction takes their commitment to the community very seriously. They sponsor sports team in softball and baseball in the Roselle Medinah organization, as well as sponsorship of the Central Illinois Flying Aces Hockey team. This particular sponsorship includes an outstanding player award after each game and jersey giveaways. They also donate five dollars for every assist during Illinois State University games. The donations benefit the Camp One Step by Children’s Oncology Services, Inc, a camp for children suffering from cancer.
